How to Run Facebook Ads

  1. Log in to Your Facebook Account: Open Facebook.com or the Facebook app and log in to the account that is an admin of the business Page you want to advertise on behalf of.

  2. Navigate to Your Business Page: Go to your Facebook Page by clicking on the Page name in the left-hand menu or by searching for it using the search bar.

  3. Choose to Boost a Post or Create an Ad:

  4. Boost a Post - 1. Choose a Post to Boost: Scroll through your Page's posts and select the post that you want to promote as an ad. 2. Click on "Boost Post": Below the post, you should see a "Promote" button. Click on it to start the process of creating a promotion for that post.

  5. Create an Ad - 1. If on Desktop click “Create Ads” in the left-side table bar  2. If on a Mobile phone click “Promote” at the top of the page and then “New Ad” 3. If you have created an ad account, make sure to choose the correct account at the top of the page. 

  6. Select Your Audience: Facebook will provide options to define your target audience. You can define your audience based on demographics, interests, location, and more.

  7. Set Your Budget and Duration: Specify your budget for the promotion and the duration for which you want the ad to run. You can choose a daily or lifetime budget. Make sure to set a start and end date. 

  8. Choose Ad Placement: Select where you want your ad to appear. You can choose between automatic placements or manual placements on specific platforms within the Meta network.

  9. If you did not select an ad account, put in your payment method.

  10. Review and Confirm: Review all the details of your promotion, including the audience, budget, and duration. Make sure everything looks good, and then click the "Promote" or "Confirm" button to launch the ad.

  11. Monitor Performance: After your ad is live, you can monitor its performance directly from your Facebook Page. Check engagement metrics, reach, and other relevant data to assess how well the ad is performing.
